For She's a Jolly Good Fellow!

I'd like to offer my congratulations to Karen DeSousa on her retirement! Karen is the author of five kumihimo books and seven beaded Christmas ornament books and is the founder and CEO of KumihimoToGo.com. She was an early adopter of using the kumihimo disk to make beaded jewelry and through her books, website, and trade show booth introduced many people to kumihimo and contributed greatly to kumihimo's popularity in our beading community today. She has a talent for spotting the untapped potential of an item, is a branding and marketing genius, and is the visionary behind many popular kumihimo braiding fibers such as Veragata and Kujaku ribbon. It has been my privilege to work with Karen as a trade partner and colleague within bead word. I offer her my heartfelt congratulations on her retirement and wish her much health and happiness and she embarks on a new simplified endeavor focused more on teaching and less on retail.
