Phase2, now the final phase of the Basilica’s redecoration project, For Such a Time as This, is already underway with planning and scheduling well in process, and artisan studio work being completed off-site. The actual work in the church is now set to begin on June 2nd.

All the remaining work, including the painting of the walls, ceilings, and columns, redecoration and reimagining of the Apse and Triumphal Arch, installation of new flooring throughout the Nave and Vestibule, completing the lighting and audio-visual upgrades, and installing new pews, is scheduled to be finished by the middle of October. Here is a preview of the unfinished murals of St. Peter and St. Gertrude the Great that will be part of the Triumphal Arch in process at Conrad Schmitt Studios..

Your support of the Silent campaign made this accelerated plan possible, during which parishioners donated or pledged over 2 million dollars, exceeding our 1 million dollar goal. In addition, we recently received a pledge of a $500,000 matching gift from a long-time parishioner’s family foundation. This very generous gift will match each donation received during the General Campaign, that is, after March 1, 2025, and before August 31, 2027. This means new donations during that period, not payments received on previous pledges, will become $1,000,000, with the match.

The details of the General Campaign to complete the fundraising for the redecorating project. For Such a Time as This will be announced and communicated in the next couple of weeks. New donations are now eligible for the matching gift.

Thank you for your support of For Such a Time as This.
