This summer our development director, office manager(s), and I attended the inspire conference at Seattle University. This conference is put on by the Archdiocese Office for Catholic Schools to create community and support among our Catholic schools. This year, they raffled a 2-3 minute marketing video, and WE WON! We are so excited to get the word out about our beautiful community. The focus of the video will be:

what we value, faith, academics, and community

what we believe, every student, parent, staff, person is made in the image and likeness of God

what we promise, to form Saints & Scholars

Please help us identify the virtues (holy habits) we want all our students to leave Saint Nicholas with by completing this survey by October 11, 2024.

FULCRUM FOUNDATION TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM



Beginning Tuesday, October 1st, the application process for tuition assistance will be open. All applications for the Fulcrum Foundations Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) are processed through FACTS. You can login to your existing account, or create an account if you have never used FACTS, with the link to login here. All families that would like to apply for any in-house scholarships must first apply to the Fulcrum TAP through FACTS. 

SCHOOL PHOTOS

If you ordered school pictures they were sent home with your child this week. If your child did not have their photo taken on our picture day or would like a retake, Yuen Lui will be here on Wednesday, October 23, to take both individual retakes as well as class photos. Please email your teacher if you want your child to have a retake.  Mass uniforms are required. 

This month's virtue is HOPE. trusting God's plan. Through the theological virtue of hope our hearts are set on the goal of heaven. (Virtues in Practice curriculum)

Our classes have completed their MAP testing. Any student who needs to make up a test will do so by the end of next week. MAP growth test results will be distributed during conferences.

CHEER CLINIC

We will offer a cheer clinic for girls in grades K-8 on Friday, October 11th from 3:00-4:30pm (there is no school that day). The students will then cheer at the boys' final flag football game on Thursday, October 17th at Volunteer Park. Cost will be $20. Students will need to wear school shorts and a gray spirit wear t-shirt. Please sign up in the front office by Wednesday, October 1st.

SPIRIT WEDNESDAYS AND TEAM THURSDAYS:

Spirit Wednesdays are every Wednesday unless noted otherwise.  Students can wear their St. Nicholas school t-shirts and hoodies with their uniform bottoms.

Team Thursdays! Team Thursdays moved to the second Thursday of the month. Our next Team Thursday will be October 10th. Students may wear their favorite team jersey or top and uniform bottoms.
