Every week is full of exciting events in the classroom and throughout campus this time of year! A big thank you to Pedro N. in 5th grade who was our PE Teacher for the Day on Monday! All the PE classes had a great time and fun activities.
Don't forget to join us on Saturday for our (adults only) St. Patrick's Dinner and Irish Dancing! We are so excited to start this new tradition here at St. Nick's and would love for you to eat, drink, and be merry (and dance a little too).
Next week, you can buy green free dress on Monday for $1.00. Just bring your dollar to your teacher in the morning. Let's see your fun green attire from headbands to socks! As a reminder, if we have a "holiday themed" free dress, students are allowed to wear that holiday-specific clothing and jewelry. Regular free dress days should follow the guidelines in the handbook, no jewelry, fingernail polish, or makeup is allowed.
On Tuesday, Titus D. will join me as Principal for the Day. He has requested that all students wear all black free dress. There will also be no homework that day and each class will receive an extra recess. On Tuesday morning, we will start the day with the kickoff to our Color Run t-shirt design contest so make sure your students are here by 8:30 am so they can learn all the fun details.
We would love to see you all next Thursday night, for the PTO's first family game night (see the brochure below) and on Friday night for movie night! We need volunteers to help at movie night. If you can help out email Mrs. Ritchie at jilly.m.ritch@gmail.com! Whew, that's a lot of fun things happening around here!
An important note for school pickup - if you and your children hang out on the grassy area close to the church, please make sure that your children are within your line of sight at all times. Father Mark is concerned about their safety as he pulls in and out of there for church business. We want to allow students to play there after school but may be asked to make that area off limits if students are unsupervised. Please help them to respect that part of our campus by playing safely and returning rocks and sticks to where they found them.
Respectfully in Christ, Mrs. Morga, OP
