Black Friday 🐾Paw It Forward🐾
at McKamey Animal Center
(Chattanooga, TN) November 20, 2020- What better way to spend the day after Thanksgiving than adding a furry friend to the family! This year, McKamey Animal Center (MAC) is hosting a Paw it Forward Adoption Event on Black Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.. To Paw it Forward, adopters who purchase an item from MAC's holiday wish list will have their adoption fee waived.
"We wanted to do something different this year," said Melissa Smith, Adoptions Administrator. "We want to not only provide a great opportunity for people to add a new family member for free but to also leave something behind that we can use to help the animals that may not find their forever home on Black Friday.”
Adopters can bring their wish list gift to their adoption appointment on Black Friday or have it shipped direct to MAC at 4500 N Access Rd, Chattanooga TN 37415 (those who ship a gift should bring their receipt dated November 20 or later to their appointment to qualify for the Black Friday special.) "Pawing it Forward not only helps the animals in our care at the Center, but will help provide needed supplies for our shelter pets and our community pet food bank as we continue to help our neighbors in need," said Mindy Kolin, Development Director.
Appointments, masks and social distancing are required as MAC continues to follow CDC guidelines. Every adoption includes spay/neuter, parasite prevention, microchip, and food/care for a week. Residents of the City of Chattanooga, Lakesite, or Red Bank will be required to purchase their city pet license at the time of adoption, and all pets must leave the building in a carrier or on a leash. If you do not have one, you can purchase one at MAC.
If you're not able to adopt, MAC is also temporary foster parents and financial contributions to directly care for the animals – this is the best time of year to join our MAC G.E.M. family by becoming a monthly donor! For more information on fostering or to donate visit mckameyanimalcenter.org.
