For over 35 years, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida is supported by a strong foundation of volunteers.
Their gifts of love and compassion make both of our houses more than just a place to stay, they make it a home.

On April 30th, Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida hosted

it's Annual Volunteer Appreciation Party at Slice, Weston.

Over a hundred guests, including Board Members, Staff, Volunteers and even Ronal McDonald

gathered together to enjoy a "Shining Stars" theme afternoon that included

a delicious lunch, trivia games, awards and more!

Meet the award recipients from both Houses and join us in congratulating them:

Alexis Friedman, RMH of Miami Volunteer of the Year

Kaitlin Sahni, RMH of Fort Lauderdale Volunteer of the Year

Special Events Volunteers:

Event volunteers are a high priority need for RMHC, as our events help us in keeping families close for thousands of families each year.

Learn more about the next upcoming events here.

In- house Volunteers:

Work inside RMHC to provide a home- like environment for families. There are a variety of different roles available, including Front Desk, Clerical Work, Gardening, Restocking Pantry and Kitchens, Organizing donations and others.

To become a In- house Volunteer, feel out the volunteer application form and send to

Veronica Forte (Miami House) or Candy Caraballo (Fort Lauderdale House).

Adopt a Meal Volunteers:

The Adopt a Meal program provides a much-needed support service to families who are taking care of their sick children, and often don't have the time, funds, or energy to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal.

Coming home from the hospital to a home-cooked meal, made by people who care, is a real gift to our families.

Pop Tabs Volunteers:

With everyone working together, our Pop Tab recycling program provides a wonderful way to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Lovin' Coffee Cart Volunteers:

RMHC of South Florida's "Lovin' Coffee Cart" provides morning smiles every week in the form of coffee, cookies, pastries, drinks and care kits to pediatric families and patients receiving treatment at Shalah Children's Hospital at Broward Health Center and soon in Holtz Children Hospital at Jackson Memorial in Miami. A small gesture like this offers parents a break in their morning and gives them a gentle lift to keep them strong. Patients and their families can even look forward to a special surprise visit from Ronald McDonald himself once in a while.

To become a Lovin' Coffee Cart Volunteer, please contact Veronica Forte (Miami House) or Flora Nwalupue (Fort Lauderdale House).

Wish List:

We want to make sure the families have what they need to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Just like any other House, we need items but in BIGGER quantities.

Conduct a wish list drive at your school, work place or church to help the Houses in their needs.
