Greetings!

We enter the season of Lent when days lengthen and we reflect. Offer your collective prayer and actions so we can work together for peace and healing. We ache for the people of Ukraine, Russia, and surrounding regions, and lift up the turmoil in our families, communities, and around the world. Kneeling for Prayer Around the Cross we claim Isaiah's vision of the new heaven and new earth that even now God is calling into being.

Renewal comes by deepening understanding across differences, seeing in new ways, leaning in to love. Strengthening the Village practice, we welcome Pastor Mark Griffith and family. Consider how you can spread the word on salaried jobs at Holden or join the team yourself. Share your prayer community, plan a visit, or practice at home. In these ways, we are Holden Village together, for the sake of the life of the world.

Faithfully,
Stacy Kitahata, Mark Bach, and Kathie Bach

Summer 2022 Teaching Faculty
Plan your visit to Holden this summer to explore the theme of Jubilee with Holden's 2022 teaching faculty!

The biblical concept presents a vision for abundant life for all — the restoration of relationships, cessation of debts, a community in which no one can be excessively wealthy, and stewardship of the land. We hope you will join the renewal.
Stay at the Holden B&B
Located on Lake Chelan near Fields Point Landing, the Holden Bed & Breakfast offers travelers simple and comfortable lodging amidst national forests, apple orchards, and Washington's premier wine country.

Plan to stay on your next trip to and from the Village!
The B&B is available to rent by any group of up to 13 people. Now through May is an excellent time to reserve the entire house for a family getaway, small group retreat, or to explore Chelan!
Board Nominations
Holden Village Board of Directors welcomes nominations for new members, to begin service in Autumn 2022.

The board is especially interested in expanding the diversity of our gifts and backgrounds, particularly in areas of race, ethnicity, and gender. Self-nominations are very much welcome. Board members serve four-year terms and meet four times a year, for varying lengths of time and different configurations of remote and in-person gatherings.
Holden at Home
Words can be used in many ways to make art: spoken word, poetry, plays, novels, and more. In fact, we are surrounded daily by words that have been turned into art using methods of graphic design.

Learn a new artistic and literary practice with Art Studio Coordinator, Elizabeth Humphreys. In this "blackout" style, one selects words on a page of pre-written text then marks out the rest of the words on the page. The words that are left on the page create a new piece entirely.
