With a tagline like "450 pounds of pure sizzling sex," it's no wonder Big Fannie Annie makes it high on our list of burlesque inspiration. Fannie Annie is the type of innovative gal that will whip up a stunning dress out of a velvet bedspread or swaddle herself in a shower curtain. She never let her bounteous curves and Amazonian height keep her in the corner, landing film credits in Miami Vice and Porky's. I wouldn't be surprised if Divine looked to her when seeking her femmespiration. Described by critics in her '70s and '80s heyday as "too much," Fannie Annie was known to pack a nightclub faster than the smaller gals. "I never think about being thin," said Annie to newspapers in 1977. "When you know you are money by being big, how could you want to be thin?"

Lola's cold-war-derived talents have served her foray into burlesque where she has appeared twice at the New York Burlesque Festival, five times at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, and every night in your dreams.

"Helena Handbasket began as a dancer and performer with the Oakland-based punk rock can-can troupe The Can-Cannibals from 2007-2009, when she ventured north to Olympia to form and direct one of the city's two burlesque troupes. In 2011, she returned to the Bay and continued her work as a dancer. She gradually realized that her tendency to be the loudest and most talkative person at a party-regardless of how intoxicated and/or generally unsavory its attendees might be-was not just a social liability, but also an artistic gift. She now sings and MC's at various events, including Vaudeville Unfurled, Rabbit Theater, and The Punk Rock Cabaret."

Jan 18th **Burlesque 101**Burlesque 101** 5pm in SF at El Rio 3158 Mission St SF In this two-hour workshop, students will learn the history of burlesque, how to create a persona and basic choreography. As well as learning to build your burlesque attitude; feel great about your body, and an open discussion about increased confidence and positive thinking. Burlesque 101 has been seen in the NYTimes, KOFY TV, Curve Magazine at Fabulosa Fest at the Yerba Buena Center For The Arts and MORE!.
Jan 21st **Birthin g Back to Babe** Burlesque for Moms Ready to Get Their Sexy Back! 6-8pm in SF at The Box Factory 865 Florida st, SF CA: You've made it through sleepless nights, nappy clothes and a house dirtier than diaper, now Bump'n'Grind back to your sexy side with Hotease Burlesque by Eva D'Luscious. This 2-hour workshop introduces basic Burlesque moves, tips on graceful clothing removal, guidance on channeling your Inner Siren and sharing her through movement. Strut and shimmy your way to a new level of hotness and own your MILF status!
Jan 27th **Pastie Making and Tassel Twirlling** 2-4pm in SF at The Box Factory 865 Florida st, SF CA: AJ Molecular is on hand to teach:How do we do it?! Impress and amaze with the art of tassel twirling. In the first hour we will go over the history of tassel twirling and you will make your very own pair of pasties with tassels. ***No materials fees.***Supplies will be provided, but if you have a pair of scissors and/or a hot glue gun; bring it! The second hour of class will teach you those much desired and sought out moves to get those tatas-a-twirlin'! We will go over several different methods and find which option works best for you. Be prepared to wear pasties on your body. The class is a safe and respectful environment where students should feel free to toss their inhibitions aside.
