"This little patch of Earth had never been sang or danced upon. It was vibrating and full of life."

That's what Helen Cat Beckers said about the spontaneous Global Earth Exchange that she and her partner and their students at Wildnisschule Weltenwandler Training in Wiesbaden, Germany did last Saturday. They'd felt sad when they walked into a field planted with row after row of monoculture crops and when they talked of the many threats to wild nature in the modern world.

But then they started dancing, and everything changed.

Dear lovers of beautiful and challenged places,

What happened to Cat and her friends is an example of the kind of magic that so often surprises those who go to a place that's been hurt and give it a gift of beauty and attention.

From Bali to Alaska, from dying aspen trees to a war-torn city, people joined together for  Sharing Love of Place.

To all of you who have already taken part in this year's Global Earth Exchange, thank you! You are part of a pioneering network that is changing the way people relate to the places in their lives by mixing art, nature, and activism. You are Radical Joy for Hard Times!

And if you haven't yet done a 2017 Global Earth Exchange, it's not too late See our website for suggestions. Then, just send us your photo and a brief description of what happened, and your event will join all the others on our website.

And for everyone... we invite you to watch the slide show of this year's events on the home page of our website and to read the stories of what happened. Stay tuned! New stories and photos are being uploaded daily.

May a little patch of Earth come alive for you, too!
