For those clients wishing to escape winter, we have just the solution — a magical river safari in Zambia's premier park,

South Luangwa National Park

The Luangwa Valley, marking the end of the Great Rift Valley, is a pristine wilderness and one of Africa's most exceptional wildlife sanctuaries. Its natural beauty and abundant wildlife make it a treasured destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike.

During the Emerald Season, the landscape becomes even more captivating. As the Luangwa River overflows into the surrounding lagoons, boating through these flooded ebony groves and meandering channels offers an exclusive and unparalleled perspective of the valley. This season, which is generally inaccessible at other times, transforms the region into a lush paradise teeming with vibrant greenery and abundant life.

With fewer visitors and a landscape alive with newborn animals, the experience feels intimate and immersive. For those seeking a break from the cold, it's the perfect opportunity to embrace the warmth and adventure of nature in one of its most awe-inspiring settings. The Luangwa Valley, in its full splendor, truly offers an unforgettable escape into the heart of Africa's wilderness.

NOVEMBER SIGHTINGS IN THE LUANGWA

At Nkwali, there have been some incredibly cute leopard cubs which a few of the guides have caught a glimpse of. And on a few days off, Sarel went to see if he could catch a glimpse of them. So, leaving before the sun came up and any cars were around, he went out to where he had heard that they were and was lucky to spend time alone with the little cuties and got these amazing images – needless to say, once again some extreme jealousy.

Up at Nsefu the guests didn’t have to go far at all these last few weeks with leopard drinking from the lagoon at camp whilst the guests have been having dinner, and then the lions have been doing what lions do at this time of the year – hunting buffalo.

In one extraordinary sighting the guests were heading to the croc river crossing but stopped immediately in their tracks as total pandemonium unfolded in front of them, and right there in one fell swoop the lions took down 2 buffalo. An incredible sighting that is one which pretty much guaranteed either lion or hyena over the next few days for all the guests to enjoy.

The thrill of encountering majestic creatures up close, often in their most authentic, raw moments, creates a deep connection with nature that is hard to replicate anywhere else. Plus, the diversity of wildlife and ever-changing landscapes ensure that no two safari experiences are ever the same, keeping people eager to return.

We look forward to sharing all of this with you and your clients!

Happy Selling!
