Improvement (CPI) with your business goals and objectives. In doing this, you give a clear message, purpose and create leverage for everyone to fully engage in the change process. Presented by Optima's President and Founder, Steven Hirt, on Thursday, Feb. 1 at Optima in De Pere.
Value Stream Mapping in the Office
As a manufacturer, you’ve most likely used many of the lean tools to help you eliminate waste and variation in your processes. Organizations sometimes struggle on how to improve processes in the office environment, because you cannot easily see the “waste”. Information is passed from department to department, many times waiting on people’s desks to be processed. Missing or incomplete information makes the process stop, causing rework and frustration. Presented by Optima's Laurie Stoveken on Feb. 8, this valuable Breakfast Series event at the Horton Group in Waukesha, will provide the knowledge you need to get started facilitating a team through a transactional-based Value Stream Mapping event.


Training Within Industry (TWI) Certification Program

Optima’s TWI Certification Program aims to deliver a better-skilled workforce, improved labor and management relations, productivity improvements and a focus on continuous improvement. Our three-component TWI program is the ideal process for training people within your organization who are responsible for mentoring others in job skills, monitoring and effectively managing continuous improvement initiatives and doing so with consistent and proven results. Three, one-day sessions conducted throughout the year, will certify you in Job Instruction (JI), Job Methods (JM) and Job Relations (JR) skills.



One introduction Breakfast Series session remains to TWI Certification Program

Optima's Dave Lange and Christian Wolcott have hosted two TWI breakfast events so far with seats for the three-course Certification Program filing fast. One more introduction to the program breakfast event remains in Waukesha on Jan. 31 at the Horton Group . This event will provide an overview of the TWI Certificate Program along with an abbreviated Job Instruction, Job Methods and Job Relations presentation.

Jan. 31, 2018 - Green Bay Packaging Mill Division is excited to hear member feedback. They are building a new plant and with that comes challenges, with maintaining production with the current associates and starting up new assets.

CI Alliance South Central at Plastic Ingenuity
Feb. 1, 2018 - Plastic Ingenuity will share how they leverage 5S to control near misses and incidents. This event will include tours of both the Cross Plains and Mazomanie plants.
