Ready to solve a murder?
This is the Curator at Five Vines. I am pleased to invite you to this month's Murder Mystery, The Unpleasantness in Pleasantville. Here is an introduction to this dark affair:
Elliot Smith has been found dead in his home. To your surprise, your contacts in the United States government have asked you to investigate the death. You arrive in Pleasantville, Ohio the day after Elliot’s death. Once you receive the details from the police, you have a sense of who may be involved in Mr. Smith’s demise and begin your investigation.
We have two styles of Murder Mystery available this month, The Murder Mystery Experience and The Murder Mystery Dinner. The Murder Mystery Experience is $35 per person and includes the Murder Mystery game and a glass of sparkling wine at the door. Additional food and drink may be purchased. The Murder Mystery Dinner is $85 per person and includes all five courses and a glass of sparkling wine at the door. Additional drinks may be purchased. For the Murder Mystery Dinner, a $25 per person reservation deposit is taken at registration. For those who show up to the dinner, these deposits will be discounted from your tab. Both the Murder Mystery Experience and the Murder Mystery Dinner begin at 6.30 pm. There are no refunds for the reservation fee or the ticket for those who do not attend.
The investigation takes place entirely at your dinner table, no need to learn a script or play a character! For those willing to work with other tables, you can send investigators to the Seance Table for collaboration in between courses.
Dressing to the theme of the evening is encouraged, but not required. For those willing to dress to theme: American 1950s. Those who dress up will receive an extra clue for their efforts!

Murder Mystery Dinner Menu: 1950s Classic Updated Menu
Here is a preview of how the game will proceed:
Initial Round: You will be presented with the a glass of sparkling wine, the rules and initial interviews. Tarot cards will be pulled from volunteers to determine which variant of the mystery will be played that evening.
First-Fourth Rounds: You will pick two Characters to Interview. At the same time you will be able to pick a Location to investigate and two Items from that Location. This will happen four times in four separate rounds.
Final Round: You get one last Interview with one interviewee. Deliberate. Discover the truth.
