Our plan for ForWords' future must begin with a look at our past. Our greatest success has always been our students.
We thought we would share some of their achievements. All of these graduates were recipients of ForWords college scholarships.
NAYED GARCIA is a freshman at San Francisco State University majoring in engineering. He loves the course work and says it is challenging. Nayed was a FW intern and a staff member at our Bridge to High School Summer Program in 2022.
KIMBERLY GONZALEZ is in her last semester at College of Marin and has been accepted at University of California, Santa Cruz. Kimberly was a FW intern. She plans to fulfill her long-time dream of attending law school and becoming an immigration attorney.
ERIKA MANANA is finishing her medical assistant degree at College of Marin and plans to specialize in sonography. She is currently working at a pharmacy to further her medical knowledge. Erika was a FW intern and administrative assistant.
DEYSI MENDEZ graduated College of Mount Saint Vincent in New York City majoring in business. And she became a United States citizen. Deysi is an accountant in the Bay Area and also does pro bono work helping immigrants file their taxes.
DANY REYES graduated San Jose State University majoring in sociology and Spanish. He works in the hotel management industry. Dany has a private pilot's license and is working towards obtaining his commercial pilot’s license.
