Our plan for ForWords' future must begin with a look at our past. Our greatest success has always been our students.

We thought we would share some of their achievements. All of these graduates were recipients of ForWords college scholarships.

We've Been Busy!
We are very happy with our progress in positioning ForWords to meet future needs and deal with challenges that might come our way. Here is the latest. See numbers 1 through 3 for details.

The Future of ForWords Task Force Report recommendations were approved by the Board of Directors at its December 8, 2022 meeting. The next big step is to implement the restructuring. Our goal is to have everything in place by June 30, 2023.
We compiled the Findings of the Future of ForWords Board Task Force that Include:

  • A comprehensive analysis of the information collected, recommendations for program and organization models, staffing, and possible partners.
We formed a Search Committee to Retain an Interim ED/Chief Restructuring Officer

  • Develop and implement organizational and program models.
  • Negotiate a strategic alliance for shared space and administrative services.
  • Identify staffing needs and conduct the search for permanent ForWords senior staff.
  • Develop criteria to measure the success of the restructuring and make changes as needed.
We instituted a Transition Governance Structure for January 1 through June 30, 2023.
