Force Main Replacement Along Pine Tree Drive

Monday, November 18, 2024

Project Overview & Benefits

The City of Miami Beach is replacing aging sewer mains on the Pine Tree Drive bridge between 49 and 51 Streets with two subaqueous sewer lines. These pipes are deemed critical in the City's Sewer Master Plan and are in poor condition, having surpassed their useful life. This project will improve the overall efficiency and reliability of our system.

What's Happening

Construction will extend across the Flamingo Waterway, starting at Pump Station #15, located at the intersection of Pine Tree Drive and La Gorce Drive, and continuing to the south side of the bridge near 49 Street and Pine Tree Drive. Once completed, road, landscaping, curb, and/or sidewalk repairs will be performed to restore the area to pre-existing conditions.

More details about the project, including road closures, access, and pedestrian detours, will be provided at a later date.

Timeline

This project is scheduled to start in December 2024, with construction expected to take approximately one year to complete. Please note that timelines are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
