We at BooksfromScotland cannot deny the continued rise in popularity in nature writing, and luckily, in Scotland, we have an abundance of writers celebrating the wonder of the outdoors, and highlighting how we need to take care of our natural world before we lose it. We have recommendations of some of those books here today - we hope they inspire you to enjoy the world around you.
Wait, there's more . . .
And finally . . .

Last week we announced the programme for the BooksfromScotland and Publishing Scotland online summer event The Scottish Books Long Weekend.

We will be hosting 14 events with 44 participants over 1 weekend, celebrating the brilliant books and talent from literary Scotland.

Events include a pre-publication exclusive conversation with Graeme Macrae Burnet on his upcoming book Case Study as well as events on crime fiction, gothic fiction, politics, history, childrens books and more.

You can find out more about The Scottish Book Long Weekend and book your free tickets at The Scottish Books Weekend website.
We hope our bumper nature issue sends straight outdoors to the bookshops, and we hope you can join us for The Scottish Books Long Weekend. As ever, keep your eye on BooksfromScotland's Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds where we will continue to promote the best in Scottish writing, and we'll be back soon with more book recommendations.

In the meantime, take care, stay safe and keep reading!

Best wishes,

Vikki Reilly
