Makayla Leiting

Senior Business Attraction and Expansion Project Manager

Makayla Leiting is the Senior Business Attraction and Expansion Project Manager at the Greater Omaha Chamber. Her role is focused on the growth and development of existing companies, ensuring their retention and expansion within the Omaha region. Makayla is dedicated to advancing key industries in Greater Omaha, contributing to the Chamber's mission of fostering a thriving business community.


Prior to joining the Greater Omaha Chamber, Makayla worked at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, where she specialized in recruiting and fostering relationships with national and international companies.


She is a member of the International Economic Development Council, Nebraska Economic Developers Association, and the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands, demonstrating her commitment to economic development and community engagement. Additionally, Makayla serves on the board of the Omaha Sister Cities Association.

Terry McMullen

Terry McMullen is the Station Manager of AIT Worldwide logistics, managing global supply chain needs, and also the local Foreign Trade Zone for the Omaha Chamber of Commerce (since 2006). With over 46 years in the transportation industry, 32 years of that experience was co-founding TLK Air Care, Inc – with his wife, Lori, in 1991, and building one of the most comprehensive logistics providers in the Omaha area. Growing the company from 2 employees to over 35 transportation and warehouse team members. In 2023, TLK was purchased by AIT Worldwide Logistics and with over $2 billion in annual revenue globally, AIT will continue to serve its customers with cost effective solutions worldwide. Same great local team and with Terry’s leadership for another couple of years – continued growth and success.

Jeff Kimble

Manager, Logistics & Compliance

Jeff Kimble is the Logistics & Compliance Manager at Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing's Consumer Productions division in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has worked at Kawasaki since 2007; first as a Purchasing Supervisor, and then transitioned to the Logistics & Compliance Department since 2014. His areas of responsibility include inbound and outbound domestic transportation, import and export transportation, and international trade compliance including Kawasaki's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) programs. In his spare time Jeff enjoys cycling the gravel roads of Nebraska, and tracking cargo planes and ocean vessels online, much to the amusement of his family.

Alan Martinez

SBDC Business Consultant

Originally from Mexico, Alan is a bilingual business consultant at the Nebraska Business Development Center for the Small Business Development Center program. In this role, he assists business owners through all stages of the business development process, with focuses on business planning, loan packaging, marketing, operations management, financial planning, and general business practices.


As a bilingual consultant, Alan also provides direct consulting assistance to Spanish-speaking owners and potential owners of small businesses. He currently serves the whole state of Nebraska. Alan is passionate about serving the community and building strong professional relationships with partners and business owners.


Alan was previously a SourceLink Nebraska navigator, another NBDC program, where he assisted to connect small business owners and entrepreneurs to the resources they needed to start or grow their business. Other previous experience includes international sales, customer service, and marketing. Alan received a bachelor’s degree in international business from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Kevin Koester

In his role with the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, Kevin served as a champion for growth and expansion in Lincoln, Nebraska. Kevin acts as Lincoln’s main point of contact for both domestic and international businesses considering Lincoln as a location for expansion. In his work, Kevin leverages the strengths and resources the community has to offer to generate new investment and job growth. Additionally, Kevin works closely with local businesses on their growth plans and goals. He supports businesses efforts in real estate search and development, incentive identification and navigation, workforce attraction and retainment solutions, and more. Kevin holds a bachelor's degree in business from Bellevue University and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute. He lives in Lincoln with his wife and two daughters.
