Herbicide is a hot topic nowadays but what do they actually do in forest management?
In Canada, herbicides are usually used in forest vegetation where conifer crops are to be regenerated. They
are effective at controlling competition from undesired broadleaf vegetation (Canada blue-joint grass, raspberry, trembling aspen) that is adjacent to young conifers.
