2019 Industry Forum &  Forest NB / ARPFNB AGMs
This year marks  Forest NB's 62nd AGM and Industry Forum , this year's event will explore "Forests for the future" and will be held at the Fredericton Convention Centre on March 13 and 14 .

Forest NB is pleased to welcome the members of the Association of Registered Professional Foresters of New Brunswick (ARPFNB) to this year's Industry Forum.

Dr. Joseph A. Schwarcz - director of Mcgill's Office for Science and Society-will be the key note speaker at the event. Dr. Schwarcz promises to deliver an eye opening presentation on " Sense, Nonsense and Science”. The Forum will also hold four plenary sessions on trade & economics, forestry research and policy and regulation.

Three Notable Guest Speakers will present on March 14 at the plenary session on Trade and Economics.
With more than 20 years experience of leadership in both public and private sector, Douglas Jones - CEO of WorkSafe NB - most recently served as Deputy City Manager for the city of Edmonton, Mr. Jones is dedicated to shifting corporate cultures to improve client experience.

  Professor Herb Emery - Vaughan Chair of regional economics from University of New Brunswick - also joins us to discuss labour supply challenges for the NB forest sector.



Mr. Colin Barker – Director of Softwood Lumber, Global Affairs Canada - will also be featured at the Trade and Economic plenary session. Former First Secretary of Trade, Economic Policy at Canada's Mission to European Union in Brussels, Mr. Collin brings his extensive experience in trade to the session. He will update delegates on developments with the ongoing softwood lumber dispute.
