Forklift Awareness: Knowledge is Your Best Safety Tool

A company was recently fined $100,000 after a worker was seriously injured in a forklift-related incident. The violation involved a failure to have an effective traffic control plan in place to protect workers from mobile equipment hazards.

This serves as an important reminder that workplaces with vehicle and pedestrian interaction must have clear, well-communicated traffic management procedures. Without them, the risk of serious injury increases significantly.
