Monish Patel
Alliance Academy for Innovation
Monish Patil is a senior at Alliance Academy for Innovation and is in the Mechatronics Pathway. After completing his first pathway, Aerospace last year, he obtained an internship at AutomationDirect as an engineering intern. He works on pneumatics demos, GeorgiaFIRST trophies, and many more engineering projects. Throughout his internship he has learned valuable skills such as PLC programming, CNC milling techniques, and 12 and 24 volt wiring. With Robotics being a passion for him, he enjoys working in the engineering department and is always more curious. From Rick Folea at the organization: "AutomationDirect relies on Internship Forsyth students to augment the work we do and help make us more productive. That requires students that are willing to take on new responsibilities and constantly learn new skills with enthusiasm and positive attitude. Monish has stepped into that role perfectly. Monish’s willingness to work independently with minimal direction from us has been wonderful. We know he will take complete ownership of a task and drive it to completion. And that’s exactly the kind of intern we look for here at AutomationDirect."

Forsyth Central HS DECA
Natalie Knight, Lillie Moon, and Alice Kofman are partnering with the Forsyth Central HS Wellness Center to develop a marketing plan for a new store idea. The idea of this school store to create a safe environment for kids to come and get items at little to no cost to them. The girls are developing not only the marketing plan for it, but the branding for the store, store name, and layout of the store. The name for the store will be The Central Place to tie in the name of our school, as well as community sponsor, The Place of Forsyth County.
The Forsyth Central HS Wellness Center and DECA are also partnering together to do a school-wide coat drive collection. We are collecting coats and hoodies for our first ever Thrifting Extravaganza. This will be a free event for FCHS students. To make it even more fun, this is a competition across all clubs, athletics, and extra-curriculars to see who can bring in the most items and there will be a prize for the winning group. Teams and clubs give their donation to the coach or club sponsor. If students are not in a club, we have general donation boxes at The Wellness Center, East Office, or Main Office.
