Catching Up with the County Clerk

Welcome to the second quarter edition of the Fort Bend County Clerk Newsletter! As we Spring forward, I’m excited to connect with our wonderful community with a look ahead at what we have planned and a look back at all we have accomplished from the previous three months.

One special update I'd like to spotlight is the upcoming 2025 Birth Certificate Saturday Hours – starting this Spring. I am opening the Katy Annex office on Saturday, April 26 and the Richmond Travis Building location on Saturday, July 19 to assist you with birth certificate requests. These extended hours aim to provide more flexibility for those who need to obtain vital records during the weekend. As an added bonus, our veteran community is invited to participate in our More Than Words program by obtaining their free ID card when they record their discharge papers.

As we continue to serve you, we want to thank you for your ongoing support and participation in making our community stronger and more connected. Whether you need to request a birth certificate, record property records, or have questions about our court services, our team is ready to assist you.

Sincerly,

Laura Richard,

Fort Bend County Clerk
