Novice or Expert, Everyone is Welcome to our first-ever Pickleball Tournament!

Whether you’re an advanced player, beginner or have always had an interest in joining the pickleball craze, you’re invited to attend our Inaugural Sink-A-Dink Pickleball Tournament!

Register at https://tournaments.pickleball.link/fbef-2025-sink-a-dink/. The registration deadline has been extended to March 30th at 11:59 PM. However, if you register by March 28, you'll receive an inaugural pickleball t-shirt. Lunch and one free drink included with your registration.

You don’t have to be skilled in pickleball to join the fun! Beginners will receive an introductory lesson from the club staff. Paddles are available to rent for only $3. Come as a spectator or try your hand at it.

If you have students enrolled in FBISD or you are an alumni, wear your school shirt or colors to show your school pride! We want to see you represented at the tournament! So, come out and have a good time while raising funds for our Fort Bend ISD teachers and students!

Gala 2025 a Huge Success thanks to Your Overwhelming Support!

What a memorable “night among the clouds!” Our 32nd Annual Gala, aptly themed “Up, Up, and Away” had us floating on cloud nine, as the event netted over $397,000! This is the second-highest Gala ever!

This year’s gala recognized FBEF Chief Executive Officer and Gala Honorary Chair Brenna Cosby, who has devoted more than 25 years to serving the FBISD community and is retiring this year. A special thank you to Brenna and Co-Chairs Syndee Howgate and Kelley Jensen, title sponsor Perdue Brandon Attorneys at Law, gala sponsors and underwriters, the gala committee and event coordinators, program participants, volunteers, guests and everyone who donated and supported this year’s event! Spotlighting the Reese Career and Technical Center, Madden Elementary School

and the District's Early Childhood Department

Reese Career and Technical Center’s Geek Power Unleashed with Computer Building Kits

With funding for their “Geek Power Unleashed with Computer Building Kits” grant, Reese CTC teachers Uwe Meyer and Charles Farr, with assistance from Principal Dr. Julia Erdie, are providing Computer Maintenance and Networking students opportunities to grow their IT skills. The students build desktop personal computers, configure Local Area Networks, and even showcase their skills at districtwide events, including StemFest, CTE Expo and middle school Career Days!

Madden Elementary’s Little Science Engineers

To help students explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activities and “do science” through scientific and engineering practices, teacher Barbara McClanahan used her grant to purchase material for her “Little Science Engineers.” She bought science kits, a cosmic space projector, a solar system view, STEM magnets, flex seating and lab coats. When wearing lab coats, the students can see themselves as future science engineers and are more confident, engaged, and motivated to participate in hands-on activities during science investigations.

Early Childhood - A Calming Corner Choice for Every Prekindergarten Child

As the recipient of a FBEF Founders Grant, the Fort Bend ISD Early Childhood Department has provided all Early Childhood campuses with kits to create “A Calming Corner Choice for Every Prekindergarten Child.” The kits include a vinyl beanbag, a flex space wobble cushion, gel-bead emotion friends, a mindful breathing board, calm down cubes and a Find Your Feelings emotion slider. The items help students identify and regulate emotions, regain focus, build fine motor control and engage in sensory exploration.
