Viking & Valhalla Shine

Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks had a strong showing at the 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – earning top honors, reporting solid sales activity and showcasing 18 yachts from 28 to 90 feet, including two world premieres: the Viking 50 Convertible and the Valhalla 55 Sport Yacht (below).

The Viking 50 Convertible (above) debuted as the first of four new 50-foot models, with the 50 Billfish set to premiere at the Viking and Valhalla VIP Preview Jan. 30–31 in Riviera Beach, Fla.

The Valhalla 55 Sport Yacht captured the Fox Sports Best of Show award in the category of boats 60 feet and under. The two-stateroom, two-head luxury performance yacht was recognized for its innovation, craftsmanship, performance and style. “I had high expectations based on the brand’s history, and they were surpassed,” said Best of Show judge Bill Zito, President and General Manager of the world champion Florida Panthers NHL team.

The Whale and Vessel Safety Taskforce earned the Marine Research Hub (MRH) Innovation & Sustainability Award for advancing whale-safety technology and industry collaboration. Above: John DePersenaire, Viking Director of Government Affairs and Sustainability, with Katherine O’Fallon of MRH.

“It was a strong show with solid sales activity and great recognition,” said Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “I’m proud of the team and the continued development of new models – this is what we do and have done for more than 61 years.”

A press conference drew a large crowd to see the 50 Convertible and 55 Sport Yacht, where Pat surprised attendees with a bonus announcement – the Valhalla 46 Sport Yacht, set to debut at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale show. “The 46 Sport Yacht will give owners another great choice in the upper end of the outboard segment,” he said.

The 90-foot flagship and the striking “Faux Row” of four convertibles – the 90, 82 and two 74s – highlighted the fleet’s craftsmanship and depth.

Princess Yachts America – a Viking sister company – also displayed motor yachts and luxury express cruisers. The three brands – Viking, Valhalla, and Princess – offer unmatched diversity and a shared commitment to craftsmanship, performance and style.
