The California Energy Commission (CEC) developed the Solar Equipment Lists under Senate Bill 1 (Murray, Chapter 132, Statutes of 2006), establishing criteria and standards for solar incentive programs under the California Solar Initiative. The Energy Commission’s Solar Equipment Lists include equipment that meets established national safety and performance standards. These lists provide information and data that support existing solar incentive programs, utility grid connection services, consumers, and state and local programs.
