Is it December already?  So much has happened this year that it seems difficult to imagine that we'll soon be welcoming in a New Year. So, before the year is over, let's celebrate our achievements and focus on what more needs to be done. As a community, we came together to help those in need of rent, of housing and of social connections. Our office of Community Services worked overtime to access all government resources - federal, state, and county to give assistance to those affected by rising costs and inflationary prices thus helping keep families together.
Now, let's move forward with confidence that we are here for each other, and that we are only as strong as the weakest among us.  WE ARE PALM BEACH STRONG!
Veterans Benefit Fair
New Date!!!  The Hurricane didn't scare us away.  We've rescheduled the date.

It's now, FEBRUARY 3, 2023.  Same Place, Same Time. Our own Executive Director of the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs from Tallahassee, MAJOR GENERAL James S. 'the Hammer' HARTSELL, USMC, will be our keynote speaker and available to meet personally with veterans.
If you are active, reserve, or retired military, this is the place to be.
If your spouse was military, living, or deceased, this is the place to be.

Representatives from all the service organizations plus private organizations that cater to veterans and their families will be present.

Its FREE, open to the public and promises to showcase the benefits our vets have earned with their service. Come join us and share in the camaraderie that our Veterans deserve.
Proclamations
Family Court Awareness Month

We all strive for justice in our judicial system, however at times court decisions are rendered which negatively impact families. There is a group that attends and observes proceedings for almost 20 years to advocate for the rights of children. I sponsored a proclamation declaring November 2022 as Family Court Awareness month.
Vice Mayor Maria Sachs and Florida Protective Parents Association Board Director Daria Furman.
Forensic Nurses Week

The county recognizes the importance of forensic nurses as being highly educated professionals who continue to meet the complex forensic and health care needs of individuals, families and communities. Forensic nurses ensure communities utilize their services to prevent, mitigate or intervene following acts of violence.

Letters to the Commissioner
Dear Commissioner,

I believe in climate change, will the county continue to use fossil fuels for their Palm Tran Buses?

Palm Beach County is keeping up with climate change by transforming Palm Tran Buses from fossil fuels to electric.
