Rachel Zenzinger for Colorado Senate District 19
Rachel Zenzinger
Colorado Senate Candidate

Back-to-back-to-back,
campaign trail heats up

We had back-to-back-to-back candidate events recently, beginning with a meet-and-greet sponsored by the League of Women Voters at Arvada West High School. It was followed by an Arvada Chamber forum less than 24 hours later at the Arvada Center; and then a fundraising event at the home of Dan and Dona Chilcoat.

With Arvada City Council Members David Jones, Mark McGoff and John Marriott

The forum at the Arvada Center was marked by a rapid-fire response round, in which candidates had to answer all questions in three words or fewer. The question about the most important issue facing the Colorado Legislature was the easiest, and I didn't need the full three words. The answer: partisanship. We also talked about transportation issues, housing and employer mandates.

Thanks to the Chilcoats for their hospitality in such an inspiring setting!
All eyes on $200,000 mark

I am excited to announce that our fundraising activities in this campaign have brought us close to the $200,000 milestone. We're at $190,000 so far, which puts us exactly on pace to meet our full election goals.

I would love to exceed the $200,000 mark in time for the Secretary of State's next filing deadline, which is Sept. 28. I know we can do it! After that, it will be all downhill. But as they say in the world of fundraising, the next dollar is always the hardest. Please consider making a donation now!

The money will go toward all the ways in which we are making voters aware of the importance of this election and educating them on the issues.

If you would like to donate to the cause, please click here and enter whatever amount makes you comfortable. Any amount helps! You can also write a check (made out to Rachel for Colorado) and mail it to 7725 Marshall St., Arvada, CO 80003. Please include your address, your occupation, and your place of employment. This information is required by state law.

Walk with 'Conservation'

We have received significant support from the Conservation Colorado organization, and Saturday (Oct. 1) they will join us to go canvassing. If you would like to walk with us, please call 303-748-0770. You can also join us any other day to go door-to-door, just contact the campaign
Ballots coming soon!

It's hard to believe, but we are less than four weeks from the time when ballots will begin to appear in the mail (around Oct.  18). We will try to remind you to look in the mail; but it's probably not too early to check your voter status, if you have any doubts or concerns. You can go to www.votejeffco.com and click on "My Voter Lookup."
Chamber endorsement

I have received the endorsement from the Metro North Chamber of Commerce, which in its announcement made reference to my record of 100 percent voting in alignment with Chamber priorities during the 2014 legislative session. Thank you to the Metro North Chamber!

Donations

Every important political campaign these days requires significant funding, and this one is no exception. We need to find a way to pay for brochures, direct mail pieces, advertisements and other tools to help make voters aware of their choices. Please consider making any level of contribution to the "Rachel Zenzinger for Colorado" campaign, and help me get elected in 2016.
