Falling Forward Into Fall | |
Greetings Friends,
Although we know the fall equinox is weeks away, the meteorologists tell us that it is fall already. Churches are looking forward to kicking off a new program year with Gathering or Rally Sunday this upcoming weekend. Kiddos have returned to school. And, at UCCI we take a deep breath and welcome the somewhat slower pace of the fall retreat season. I thank each of you who trusted us with part of your summer vacation time!
It's also the time of year when we reflect on the summer season and work to make improvements. Your voice is essential in shaping the future of UCCIâs outdoor ministry. Your input will help us create programs and experiences that continue to transform lives and deepen faith. Whether youâre a camper, guest, pastor, youth leader, volunteer, donor, or part of our extended community, we want to hear from you! Please take a few minutes to complete our survey.
Although a slower pace is welcome, we look forward to a busy event and retreat schedule at each of our sites. Vilas County, Green Lake, and the Kettle Moraine all provide breathtaking views of Godâs creation as the seasons change. The crisp evenings yet moderately warm days are one of my favorite times of the year. I encourage you to explore how you might share a bit of this season at one of our sites. Choose your location, choose a scheduled eventâor book your own stay by simply calling us, and plan a special time away to "Unplug & Reconnect."
With fall blessings,
Jim
