Foster Family Recruitment, Development & Support During and After the COVID-19 Pandemic
All of us have had to learn new skills to connect throughout the pandemic in a virtual space. These new skills have provided us with creative options with which to recruit prospective foster parents. Foster parent information meetings have transitioned to virtual information meetings. With more and more people becoming more comfortable in pivoting to virtual platforms, foster care agencies have new and innovative recruitment resources to help spread the word about the need for foster parents.

Dr. Denise Goodman, a national expert in foster family recruitment, support, and development, recently provided a three-part training series on creative and innovative strategies that agencies can implement during and after the pandemic. The series focuses on tips to recruit additional foster parent resources and support your currently licensed foster parents.
