As our young adults are learning to navigate the highs and lows of transitioning into adulthood, we at FosterHub are working to remove obstacles and barriers to their success, transport to and from college, work, and appointments, mentor, guide, and cheer them on to success. But we cannot do it alone; we’ve been blessed with wonderful community partners that are filled with a philanthropic spirit. To that end, we'd like to recognize and thank them. Here's the highlights from our third and fourth quarters of 2025 and a look ahead into early 2026. | | | | |
Kroger and 740 Rescue Kitchen
We’d like to thank our friends at Kroger and 740 Rescue Kitchen for their continued support of FosterHub’s mission. Kroger has generously gifted us with gift cards for our young adults and 740 Rescue Kitchen for their professionally prepared wholesome and healthy meals. Thank you both, for sharing from your bounty; your kindness has helped our young adults get through the recent delays in SNAP benefits.

Golf Scramble Fundraiser
Our second annual golf scramble fundraiser was on October 4th at Pumpkin Vine Golf Course in Lancaster. We raised just over $14,000 but couldn’t have done it without the wonderful partnership of Pumpkin Vine Golf Course, food donated and prepared by Brandon & Dreama Miller, Maryellen & Mark Kramer, and Berne Station, all our amazing volunteers, support of our generous sponsors, and in-kind donations for the silent auction. Thank you all for your unwavering support and giving hearts!

Rotary International Zone 30/31
Our CEO, Michelle Mays, recently attended the Rotary Club luncheon in downtown Columbus where she participated in a panel and spoke about FosterHub’s mission. While the panel consisted of other organizations that work with foster youth, FosterHub was the only resource that works with youth as they age out of foster care. The rotary club gifted FosterHub with $2,500 worth of gift cards (fast food restaurants, Kroger, Walmart, and Meijer) to distribute to our young adults. Thank you for your support.

Perry County
A Night of Hope; Dinner & Awards
FosterHub was invited to attend Perry County JFS dinner and award evening to honor and celebrate their hard-working staff and community partners who are dedicated to the youth of Perry County. Our whole table beamed with pride as our very own Dalton Ratliff graciously and eloquently accepted the Anchor of Love Award on behalf of his uncles who couldn’t attend.

Rocky Boots
Another wonderfully generous community partner, Rocky Boots, has been with us from the very beginning. They happily sponsor our events, donate items for silent auctions, employ our young adults, and provide boots to our young adults who need them for work – whatever field they choose.
To the team at Rocky Boots – we thank you!

City of Logan
Malachi is a working man! Thank you to the City of Logan for offering Malachi a job at the water department and mentoring him through job skills. Malachi is learning a trade and saving for his first car, to boot! This isn’t a 9-5 job either; Malachi and his team stay on task until the job is done. In fact, one of his first projects was laying pipe for our new FosterHub center. What a rewarding feeling to be able to say that he had a hand (quite literally) in the building of our center.

Thomas Stevenson and Ohio University
Assistant Professor of Instruction/Coordinator of Food and Beverage in the Dept of Human and Consumer Sciences at Ohio University, Thom Stevenson and his talented culinary students planned and prepared a delicious Thanksgiving meal. This is an annual event they host for international students and others who can’t make it home for the holiday and this year they graciously invited FosterHub to join. From the bounty of their hearts and kitchen, we dined on a traditional Thanksgiving dinner complete with homemade pumpkin pie and thumbprint pecan pie cookies.

Ohio GRIT Program
With the recent changes to Ohio’s laws pertaining to licenses for young adults under 21, we’ve found ourselves scrambling to fund driver training. Ohio GRIT came to our rescue with their financial support for three of our young adults. Each participant is required to complete 24 hrs of online and 8 hrs classroom training and 50 hours of behind-the-wheel driving practice (that's where we come in). Thank you, Ohio GRIT for your kind support!

HR Butler
Tis the season to spread cheer! Thank you to our team at HR Butler for reaching out and offering to sponsor Christmas for your young adults. The elves at HR Butler were hard at work fulfilling wish lists for FosterHub’s first annual Christmas party for our young adults.

Wichert Insurance
Sharing is caring and we’re so grateful that Wichert Insurance has chosen to share with FosterHub the spirit of the season. The self-giving employees at Wichert have taken up a Christmas Collection and gifted us with their proceeds. Thank you to our Wichert friends, your gift of $500.00 has allowed us to provide a joyous Christmas for our young adults!

Maryellen Kramer
Support Coordinator
Shining a bright spotlight on our dedicated Support Coordinator, Maryellen! Where else can you get a karaoke car ride to school in the morning, a pep talk when the day just isn’t going as planned, and a sympathetic ear and caring heart when you need it most? Maryellen drives an unbelievable 200-ish miles per day to get our young adults to school, work, doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and all the little things that would otherwise fall between the cracks. She is the first to volunteer to help with cooking and shopping for fundraisers, scours the internet for resources that could benefit our young adults, and pulls double duty by picking up and delivering wholesome and healthy meals from 740 Rescue Kitchen for our young adults.
Thank you for your passion and dedication, Maryellen!

Clare Duffy
Chief Strategy Officer
Clare is the newest addition to our staff as our CSO! Clare comes to us with a robust curriculum vitae from Yeti, Peloton, and Precor. She infuses energy and zeal into everything she touches. Clare’s focus is building a strong social platform and developing scalable systems for FosterHub’s growth. Clare recently earned her purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu. In her free time, Clare can be found creating beautiful and functional ceramics or training her 10-month-old rescue Belgian Malenois for search and rescue.

Our CEO in Washington DC
Michelle was invited to the White House on November 13th to witness President Trump sign an Executive Order expanding support and funding for foster youth as they age out of foster care and transition into adulthood. This EO is an extension of Melania Trump’s “Fostering the Future” initiative. It’s so exciting to see that FosterHub has a seat at the table for conversations and enterprises to further our work.

Christmas Party 2025
FosterHub along with these generous sponsors and an altruistic private citizens who wishes to remain anonymous hosted a Christmas party for our young adults on December 22nd.
We had Santa and Mrs. Claus, music and games. Everyone went home full of pizza and Christmas spirit!

Interior Design
Function, Flow, and Feeling
Michelle Mays and Michelle Moone recently spent an afternoon with the interior decorator, Michelle Robinson to dive into the nitty gritty details of selecting paint colors, tiles, and carpeting for the FosterHub center. We want to make the center vibrant and welcoming.
