Be a Part of These Crucial Conversations

Fostering Collaborations to Strengthen Heat Resilience Workshops

In June 2025, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) and the Center for Climate and Health at Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) co-hosted a regional symposium with over 100 stakeholders from various sectors.

In continuation of the Symposium, MAPC, in partnership with the BUSPH and A Better City, is hosting two virtual workshops that focus on approaches to advance and strengthen heat resilience.

These targeted conversations will identify implementation ideas and actionable next steps while also cultivating a space for practitioners to connect and strengthen relationships.

After both webinars have ended, the project team will synthesize the conversations into an implementation roadmap memo that identifies and recommends specific sectors, roles, and possible funding sources to build

a coordinated approach to heat resilience.
