Spotlight: Accessibility

Providing accessible campuses for all students, including those who have disabilities, is essential for creating inclusive and equitable learning environments. A study by the National Center for College Students with Disabilities (NCCSD) found that undergraduate students with disabilities had a lower sense of belonging compared to their peers without disabilities. In addition, students may be unaware of the disability services and accommodations available at their institution for higher learning (IHE). These resources can help IHEs broaden efforts to create supportive and inclusive learning environments and increase awareness of disability resources for students with diverse abilities.
