New Small Business Located inside the Fostoria Learning Center | |
|
Students from Ashley Reinhart's class at Fostoria High School have set up shop inside the Fostoria Learning Center. The students visit the Learning Center twice a week where they do various life skill learning projects such as learning how to write resumes and interview for jobs. While at the Learning Center, the students noticed a need for a vending machine and created their own small business to fill the need. They have stocked the vending area with snacks and beverages which are available for sale. They are tracking what items are selling, taking and maintaining inventory and learning how to market the business.

New Sculpture Added To Our Public Art Collection, New Pieces Coming Soon!
Great news! Ryan S. Kinn, DMD has purchased the Outdoor Chimes, Two sculpture by Kenneth M. Thompson of Blissfield, Michigan that was part of our 2022/2023 Midwest Sculpture Initiative exhibit. The sculpture was placed in front of the dentist’s overflow parking lot at 320 S. Main Street and will now remain there permanently to add to our growing collection of outdoor public art.
Take some time to enjoy the remaining sculptures from this year’s exhibit, which will be moving on to another community in the next few weeks. Fostoria’s sixth year as a Midwest Sculpture Initiative host community will begin in May when our 2023/2024 exhibit is installed. Watch for more details soon!
