Fostoria Farmers' & Artisans' Market Expands to New Location!

The Fostoria Farmers' & Artisans' Market will open its 13th+ season on Thursday, May 4th from 4-8 p.m. at a new location to expand its presence in downtown. Booths will be set up on Main Street (between North and Center Streets) and on North Street by The Parkette.

Street closures will begin at 2:00 p.m. that day, only in this section of Main and North Streets to allow for vendor set-up.

Our sponsor for the season opener is Geary Family YMCA. They will be hosting games and activities at The Parkette with prizes supplied by Clouse Construction as we are "Celebrating Moms & Kids".

How to Participate In The Market

Because of space considerations in the past, information-only booths were at the discretion of the market committee. With the new location, non-profit organizations may set up informational tables on the sidewalk at no cost. The non-profit organization must complete a form that verifies they received permission from the business/property owner where they will be setting up during the market. If you wish to sell items during the market, we ask you to fill out a regular market application and pay the associated fee to participate.

ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital has been serving the Fostoria and surrounding communities for over 90 years. Since then, we have anchored ourselves in the community to become a house-hold name for anyone who needs medical attention. Our community-focused hospital has kept up to date with the latest technological health care advancements to offer patients high-quality care with a comforting atmosphere.

We debuted our state-of-the-art da Vinci® Surgical System at our hospital last year to provide patients with a faster recovery, fewer complications post-surgery, less blood loss, less pain and minimal scarring. Even though it’s called a robot, the da Vinci® Surgical System can’t perform surgery or make decisions. Our surgeons control the robotic arms with joystick-like controls from a console a few feet from the operating table to make incisions that are less than an inch long.

Fostoria Community Hospital welcomed Mennatallah Omar, MD, in 2022. Dr. Omar is the region’s ONLY female general surgeon and is board-certified general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery. She is fellowship trained in laparoscopic and robotic techniques for advanced gastrointestinal surgery.

Our retail pharmacy, conveniently located inside Entrance 2 of our hospital, offers everything you need from a pharmacy, right in your neighborhood. The pharmacy offers a variety of services including pill packs, free delivery inside Fostoria City limits and affordable over-the-counter medications. Most insurances, including Express Scripts, are accepted!

Lastly, in celebration of National Hospital week (May 7 - 13) we want to thank all of our caregivers at Fostoria Community Hospital for their dedication to the community, our patients and their family members.

ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital is dedicated to improve the health and well-being of our community. We are located at 501 Van Buren St. For more information, please visit our website at promedica.org/Fostoria or call (419) 435-7734.
