Donate Toys to Miami Children's for the Holidays

Miami Children's Hospital Foundation is collecting new, unwrapped toys for patients and their family members (from newborns to age 21). You can drop off toys in Miami Children's Hospital's main lobby between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on December 12-16 and 19-22. Join us in making sure every child at Miami Children's has a very happy holiday!
The toys will be delivered to the patients and families of Miami Children's Hospital not just this holiday season but throughout the entire year. These toys help commemorate major milestones in a child's treatment at Miami Children's Hospital - from going home after a long hospital stay to completing chemotherapy.

In recognition of her personal commitment to making a difference and giving back to the community through philanthropy, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation and Miami Children's Hospital Auxiliary recently honored Betty Madigan Brandt as the 45th Queen of Hearts. Held at the elegant Surf Club before an adoring audience that included previously crowned Queens of Hearts, Queen Betty was crowned by 2011 Junior Orange Bowl Queen Leia Schwartz.
The delicious luncheon was followed by an informal fashion show by St. John of Bal Harbour Shops with members of Miami Children's Hospital Auxiliary modeling the outfits.
Miami Children's Hospital Auxiliary was founded 60 years ago to support the hospital's efforts through volunteerism and charity. The Auxiliary is committed to honoring Miami Children's Hospital Foundation founder Ambassador David M. Walters' vow that no child should ever need to leave South Florida to receive world-class health care.
Members of the community are encouraged to help keep Ambassador Walters' dream alive by joining the Walters Legacy Society and including Miami Children's Hospital Foundation in their philanthropic planning. Children and families recently celebrated the Festival of Giving
with Radio Disneyat Miami Children's Hospital's Palmetto Bay Outpatient Center.
Attendees enjoyed fun, music and games, and had the opportunity to
make a difference and donate unwrapped gifts for patients and family members at Miami Children's during the holidays.

Big O's Holiday Toy Drive
Join Orlando (Big O) Alzugaray from 640 AM Sports and Navarro Discount Pharmacy as they collect toys for the patients at Miami Children's Hospital. Visit any Navarro location and drop off a new unwrapped toy to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals program at Miami Children's.
 Think your baby is the cutest? Head out to Aventura Mall on January 19-21 at 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and January 22 at noon to 5 p.m. and your child could be named Miami's Most Photogenic Baby.
The event is part of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals� 20th annual America's Most Photogenic Baby contest, which has raised more than $3 million for its affiliated hospitals since its inception. All proceeds from Miami's Most Photogenic Baby will benefit Miami Children's Hospital, your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
Infants and children through age 5 are eligible, and for a $35 entry fee they will receive a professional photo shoot with a fashion photographer. Photos of all the contestants will be displayed at Aventura Mall for judging and voting on February 24-25 in four different categories: Precious, Comical, Beautiful, Fashionable.
Parents can keep the photos when the contest is over. All contestants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 26 at 1 p.m. at Aventura Mall.
Miracle Balloon Campaigns
This year Miami Children's Hospital is celebrating its 26th year as your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Since 1983, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4 billion, most of it $1 at a time. Locally, many of these funds are raised by selling paper icons known as Miracle Balloons.
