MEET JENNIFER HAVLIK

Current Executive Director of the St. Joseph Public Schools Foundation, Sue Riemland, will retire at the conclusion of the 2024/2025 school year. The SJPS Foundation embarked on a thorough search this spring for a new Executive Director.

"I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Havlik will be the next Executive Director for the SJPS Foundation, SJPS Foundation President, Sam Abdelnour stated. Jennifer has been a Foundation committee member since 2019. Her passion for our schools and community, along with her experience in project management, budgeting and planning will continue to grow the SJPS Foundation's mission to raise, steward and distribute resources to enrich the education of students. MICHIGAN MATH MEET GRANT

April 2025

University of Michigan

Mr. Miesse and SJHS Math Club Students

"Michigan Math Meet is an undergraduate-organized mathematics competition for high school students from Michigan and the Midwest. Our goal was to help students improve their problem solving skills, prepare for major mathematics contests, and cultivate a love of mathematics."

~Mr. Tom Miesse

SJHS Math Teacher

Miesse also commented, "students worked as 2 teams of 4 through the 4.5 hours of testing. They enjoyed the challenge and were able to compete with some of the best math students in the state. This was a great learning experience, and the students represented St. Joseph High School with honor and class. Thank you to the SJPS Foundation for supporting this outstanding academic opportunity."

TELEPROMPTERS FOR THE NEWS ROOM GRANT

"Thanks to the St. Joseph Public Schools Foundation, we have brand new teleprompters in the newsroom - turning the St. Joseph High School News Room into a more professional work space."
