Meet the Candidates for the
ADSOEF Board of Directors
The following members are running for a two-year term on the ADSOEF Board of Directors:
Diana L. Kirkpatrick: Diana is a member of Alpha Delta Chapter. Diana retired in 2000 after 25 years as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor. She is a Past State President of OSO (2019-2021) and currently serves as the 2024-2025 Board of Directors Chairman of ADSOEF. She also served as ADSOEF Board Chairman in 2023-2024.
Diana has held numerous offices and chaired various committees for her chapter, as well as for OSO. She has served her community through a local Altrusa organization as a board director and held multiple offices and committee positions.
Diana has experience with fundraising, the planning of budgets, reporting, technology and communication. Diana says, “Continuing to serve on the foundation board is yet another additional opportunity to continue to serve the Ohio State Organization. Delta Kappa Gamma has given me much...it is my wish to continue to return in kind.”
Tammy Schroeder: Tammy is a member of the Beta Eta Chapter serving as president as well as co-chairing the chapter finance committee. At the State level, Tammy has served in a variety of capacities with her most recent assignment on the ADSOEF Board of Directors as chair of the Nominating Committee. In the past, Tammy served OSO as corresponding secretary and was past Biennial Seminar Coordinator.
Tammy's professional experience led her from kindergarten to the Home Economics classroom for over 35 years. Tammy was also a part-time reading coach for 13 years. While teaching, Tammy was the local teacher association president. She now is active with her Retired Teachers Association. When not involved with the world of education, Tammy serves on the Executive Board of the Toledo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. Tammy also has been involved in fundraising for her community and her organizations. Because of her involvement with many non-profit organizations, she feels that she understands how and why nonprofits operate.
Tammy has the necessary computer skills as well as uses the internet and email proficiently. If she ever has computer needs, she finds her tech-savvy children can help. Tammy believes that the OSO has taken a huge step forward by forming the ADSOEF and is willing to serve the foundation in any way she can.
Annie Zahradnik: Annie is an active member of the Gamma Theta Chapter presently serving as Treasurer and on the Executive Board. Annie has served the Gamma Theta membership as president as well as in many other capacities. This is Annie's first time serving at the state level. However, Annie has attended many of the OSO state meetings. Annie is well versed in the use of Zoom, the computer, and can navigate the local, state and international websites.
Annie spent 35 years in the field of special education as an early childhood intervention specialist. Annie worked with a team of specialists, administration, parents and facilities as she provided service to those children under the age of 6. Annie served on the preschool Parent's Board as their treasurer. Annie's work also involved teaming with three special needs intervention specialists, as well as numerous regular education teachers. Annie's classroom served as a site for student teachers and those high school students from the local Career Education Early Childhood Program.
During Annie's free time you will find her volunteering at the local Humane Society. She was most recently honored for having the most volunteer hours last year. Her specialty is taking in kittens and cats that need attention before they can be adopted into a forever home. Besides volunteering, Annie has a horse named Jabba, dog named Emmy, and her cat named Evie.
The following members are running for a three-year term on the ADSOEF Board of Directors:
Sue Loader: Sue is a member of Alpha Psi Chapter. After serving as president of her chapter, she has been the treasurer since 2012. At the state level she served on the Nominating Committee and has been on the Scholarship Committee for several years.
She was asked to fill a vacated director position in 2022 for ADSOEF and has been in that capacity since. She chaired the Nominating Committee last year and is the chair of the Finance Committee this year. She has also served on the Governance Committee since 2022. Sue is willing to serve ADSOEF in any capacity.
Linda Reeves: Linda is a member of Alpha Delta chapter. During her 40-year career in public education, Linda served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, curriculum director, curriculum coordinator for an ESD region and superintendent. Linda has worked for schools in Ohio, Texas and Oregon.
Linda graduated from The Ohio State University with her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She earned a master’s degree in educational administration from Sam Houston State University. Linda completed her doctoral degree at the University of Texas. Obviously, she has acquired deep understanding of school systems.
After retiring, Linda has been elected to serve on a local school board and was also elected to a Regional Education Service District Board. Linda is currently serving as a Donor Relations Chair for ADSOEF. It is Linda’s desire to continue to make a purposeful contribution to the education profession by serving as a Director for ADSOEF.
