2024 Year-end Giving Campaign

Our health affects all aspects of our life, but the ability to access services is not the same for everyone. The holidays are a great time to support the work at Terry Reilly Health Services to assure a better future for our neighbors.

Neighbors like Jared, who is now living a happier and healthier life, thanks to the generosity of donors like you and the care provided at Terry Reilly:

"I hit the lowest low of my life when I was laid off from work. My ability to provide for my family was stripped away. My wife is hearing impaired, and my boy has a disability, so they both need a lot of medical attention. During the most challenging time of my life, my Terry Reilly counselor was a beacon of hope, giving me encouragement and helping me solve problems. Even with less income, I didn't need to worry about losing our healthcare. The care we received at Terry Reilly helped us get back on our feet. My wife and I agree, it feels like Terry Reilly saved our lives."

Many families struggle to afford primary care and medications despite working. Your donations to the Bob LeBow Patient Assistance Fund bridge the gap for patients who are experiencing a crisis and needing access to healthcare services.

Your gift provides healthcare that's a lifeline for many in need.

Healthcare and Homelessness

Boise Mayor Lauren McLean's recent State of the City address featured a panel of

four nonprofits that provide emergency shelter, stable housing, and healthcare for our unhoused population.

Terry Reilly CEO Heidi Hart shared how preventive health services for our homeless neighbors is crucial in helping them get back on track. "Whether it's diabetes and hypertension, whether it's depression or anxiety disorders, it really doesn't matter what health indicator you look at — if you're unhoused, your health is worse, and it's harder for you to be able to meaningfully take care of yourself," Hart said.

Helping Patients in any Language

DID YOU KNOW...

Nearly one-third of Terry Reilly patients don't speak English.

Imagine being in pain, having a raging fever, or struggling with a chronic medical condition and not being able to converse confidently with a nurse or doctor.

While 40% of Terry Reilly employees speak Spanish, we see patients who speak more than 70 other languages.

Thanks to the HP Imagine Grant, we purchased ten tablets that will enable our teams to access a digital translation platform. Improved communication helps patients better understand and engage in their care, which leads to better health.

Patient Story

Maryam, who speaks Arabic, needed translation to understand her Terry Reilly counselor. She was offered a live, in-person translator, but for cultural reasons, having a stranger in the room made Maryam feel emotionally unsafe. She was also concerned about sharing personal information with someone she may see in Boise's small Arabic community.

The new translation technology allowed Maryam to speak and connect with her counselor in a way that honors her privacy and values, allowing her to focus on healing rather than fear.

Partnership Helps More Terry Reilly Patients

Get Mammograms

The CNR Strong Fund created by the Caldwell Night Rodeo provides cancer screenings for people who are uninsured or underinsured. Terry Reilly Patient Navigators (Sandra Valdez, above) are connecting with our patients and helping them schedule appointments at West Valley Medical Center for these preventative screenings. Removing barriers to care is just one of the many social determinants of health that our patient navigators address.

This small group of passionate Boise women organize a flower and yard sale each year with support from Edward's Greenhouse.

They've all survived breast cancer or had a friend or family member affected.

Their donation will ensure screenings for uninsured women served by Terry Reilly.

Why Terry Reilly Focuses on Trauma

Watch Video Here

Everyone is directly or indirectly affected by trauma at some point in their life. Trauma affects how we perceive the world around us, how we parent, our relationships, and how we connect with our coworkers. Unresolved trauma affects health outcomes, life expectancy, and our ability to take care of ourselves and others.

New TRHS Trauma & Reslience Center in Downtown Boise

A new partnership has allowed us to co-locate two Terry Reilly trauma specialists inside the Ada County Victim Services Center (ACVSC). The proximity allows on-site, real-time support for children and adults who experience sexual abuse, domestic violence or human trafficking.

Through one door, a specialized multi-disciplinary team provides wrap-around services to stabilize and support individuals and families.

Services include forensic examinations provided by St. Luke CARES, law enforcement reporting, crisis counseling, safety planning, and more.

Through this partnership, we can provide streamlined care for patients who have experienced trauma.

Here is how it works:
