Thank you for supporting the Terry Reilly Health Services mission to make healthcare available to everyone. You make what we do possible!
When you make your year-end, tax-deductible donation to Terry Reilly Health Services, your donation directly impacts patients like Julia.
Julia, a teenager who lost her mom to cancer this year, harbored a painful secret of being sexually abused by someone close to her. She notified the police about her tragic situation, but because of shame and embarrassment, she got rid of much of the evidence, and unfortunately, the case was closed.
Even as a young girl, Julia knew she needed to seek help. Finally, she scheduled a Behavioral Health appointment at Terry Reilly Health Services. In addition to her life-changing care, we helped her apply for Medicaid, and she received financial assistance through the Bob Lebow Patient Assistance Fund.

Because of donors like you, Julia is receiving professional support to improve her mental well-being.
She found healing in her therapy appointments which have empowered her to reopen her case with law enforcement.
We are proud of Julia! Not only is she advocating for herself, but she takes her schooling seriously, is set on graduating this year, and has dreams of becoming a business owner.

Meet Hailey Rinella at New Path
Jesuit/Americorps Volunteer
| |
Through our involvement with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, we have helped engage JVC young leaders at the front lines of social justice. JVC volunteers experience firsthand life-changing service while contributing to our TR mission. They share their skills with our staff and patients and learn about creating more just and hopeful communities while helping people in need.
This year, we have the honor of working with Hailey Rinella, who volunteers as a case manager at our New Path community housing program. From Greenville, South Carolina, she graduated in May from Furman University, majoring in music and psychology. After college, she knew she wanted to do a service year to learn more about the intersections of public health, especially substance use and mental health.
During her service so far at New Path, she shares that she has learned a lot about Social Determinants of Health - the conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect their health.
In her own words, "I have been learning from my amazing coworkers and the residents here at New Path about the Housing First philosophy. In addition, I've been challenged personally to keep a calm demeanor under pressure."
After her service year at Terry Reilly, she hopes to get a job as a research assistant for a few years before applying to clinical psychology doctoral programs.

Behavioral Health Crisis Intervention
In the case of a patient facing a mental health crisis, our goal is to provide supportive care and safely de-escalate the crisis. Terry Reilly employees can get assistance for patients in distress, such as those who exhibit any level of SI/HI (Suicidal Ideation/Homicidal Ideation), by contacting Emily Hardig, our Terry Reilly Crisis Intervention Specialist.
She aids in facilitating smooth transitions for patients experiencing emotional distress, assessing their risk, developing safety plans, and coordinating care, including referrals to our Behavioral Health providers or for psych medication management.
Emily also helps coordinate urgent care and provides ongoing support to patients on the waitlist for services, ensuring they have consistent contact during challenging times.
| |
Based on research findings, crisis services play a vital role in redirecting individuals from psychiatric hospitalization, thereby decreasing the demand for emergency department interventions or involvement of law enforcement.
By increasing evidence-based care, we can save lives and save on healthcare costs by preventing emergency visits. Ultimately, this avoids worsening behavioral health conditions.

Idaho Youth Ranch Partnership
The Idaho Youth Ranch has partnered with Terry Reilly to provide medical and dental services to youth at their new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience.
The center is located near Middleton on 258 acres of streams, forests, fields, and nature, focusing on care for ages 11-17. It's a peaceful place to heal from trauma, depression, family conflict, substance use disorders, mood disorders, and other behavioral and mental health conditions.
A Terry Reilly medical provider is on-site weekly to provide routine care, and our mobile dental van offers treatment monthly. Young people needing additional care are seen at one of our Terry Reilly clinics or Urgent Care locations.
Our Patient Navigators also provide assistance to parents and guardians with registration paperwork and the check-in process.
We're filling the gaps to ensure the whole-person care of youth so they can overcome big challenges and learn to thrive!

Terry Reilly Housing Navigators
Stable housing is a critical component of Economic Stability - one of the Social Determinants of Health recognized for its connection to physical and mental health. Terry Reilly screens for barriers to healthcare at every appointment to support our patients.
When a patient is facing a housing crisis, one of our Housing Navigators meets with them to explore options. Sometimes, they need help covering rent or utilities, and our navigators help them file paperwork for assistance. They help negotiate with landlords, a key support when someone is experiencing financial stress.
We also provide a list of food banks and resources for clothes, shoes, and household items.
