The New Hampshire Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration  (NHCCC) recently elected new members to its Board of Directors.  On August 7th, the 8 new board members joined their colle agues, and began their tenure in carrying forward the objectives of the collaboration and the NH Cancer Control Plan.  The NHCCC Board welcomed Cheryl Bernier, Scott Colby, Donna Dubuc, Lee Gilman, Elizabeth McGrath, David Nalepinski, Roshani Patel, and Terry Steiner.

"We are excited and appreciative of the commitment these new board members bring to our mission of reducing the burden of cancer in New Hampshire. Their respective skills, experiences, and interests will enhance our ability to meet successfully the challenges of our mission," said Board Chair Robert Gerlach, who assumed the role of Board Chair in July after serving two years as Vice Chair.  Gerlach currently is the Associate Director for Administration and Scientific Affairs at Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon.

New Plan4Health Video Explains Link Between Planning & Health

The Plan4Health Nashua project is bringing the City of Nashua to the forefront as a leader in New Hampshire when it comes to advancing Complete Streets at the municipal level.  The Plan4Health coalition developed an informational video to help demonstrate that people's ability to make healthy choices are improved when health and wellness are integrated into a comprehensive planning process.

The goal of the Plan4Health Nashua project is to advance street planning and design that support safer and easier ways to get around for pedestrians and bicyclists.  The project is supported by the Greater Nashua Public Health Advisory Council, and was selected as a priority project for implementation in Nashua's 2015 Community Health Improvement Plan.
