Mentorship "Family Tree"
In spring 2018, we conducted a survey on the mentorship experiences of past recipients of our programs: SMFM/AAOGF Research Scholarship, ABOG Bridge Funding Award, Garite Mini-Sabbatical Grants, Quilligan Scholars Program, and Queenan Fellowships for Global Health. The responses reveal the reach of Foundation funding among the membership of the Society and the importance of mentorship within the field of MFM. Our awardees value the mentorship they received through their funded project or experience and became mentors themselves as their careers progressed.
Help Us Reach Our Goal in 2018!
Invest in the future of maternal-fetal medicine and help the Foundation reach our goal of donations from 800 members of SMFM in 2018. Join the 355 members who have already contributed this year and make a donation today! You'll receive the  Literature Alert  for 12 months with a minimum donation of $100. Over 600 members contributed in 2017, and we need your help to meet our 2018 fundraising goal.
Quilligan Scholars Program

Applications are now being accepted for the Quilligan Scholars Program, open to third year residents who intend to pursue a fellowship in MFM. The application deadline is October 1, 2018.
Future Funding Opportunities Available for SMFM Members
The Danielle Peress, MD Memorial Fund has been created to support MFM fellows in their clinical or translational research endeavors during fellowship. Up to $2,500 in funding is available to a first- or second-year MFM fellow. Application information will be available in August and the deadline to apply is December 1.
Look for an upcoming announcement about the Hologic Quality Improvement Research Award for SMFM members in a community hospital or private practice. The Foundation is grateful to Hologic for their support of our mission to advance care in pregnancy through research and education.
Corporate Council Spotlight: Welcome New Member Companies
The Foundation would like to thank Samsung for their educational grant of $25,000 in 2018. Their generous support will foster maternal-fetal medicine research.
