2018 Quilligan Scholars Selected

Seven third year Ob/Gyn residents were selected as the 2018 Quilligan Scholars in November. They will be guests of the Foundation at the SMFM Annual Meeting in Dallas and will be recognized during the Resident Forum on Wednesday afternoon. They will also shadow MFM mentors on Thursday and Friday during the meeting. The new Quilligan Scholars are:

2017 Queenan Travel Fellow Named

Stephen Rulisa, MD, PhD is the recipient of the 2017 Queenan Travel Fellowship.
 
Dr. Rulisa is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Dean of the School of Medicine and Pharmacy at the University of Rwanda. His research interests include maternal health, health systems strengthening, and infectious disease in pregnancy. In addition, he has been spearheading efforts to reduce maternal mortality in Rwanda through medical education and training.
 
The Foundation will support Dr. Rulisa's attendance at the 2018 Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas where his group's poster, "Preventability of Maternal Near Miss and Mortality in Rwanda," will be presented at Poster Session V on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

Join the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Foundation for SMFM in Dallas as we thank Dan O'Keeffe for his outstanding leadership and service at an Irish-themed Tribute Event, in anticipation of his retirement in February 2018.

Register for the 5K Run/Walk

Join us on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 6:30 am for the Foundation for SMFM 5K Run/Walk at the SMFM Annual Meeting in Dallas.   The race will start and finish at the Hilton Anatole and the course will take participants along the Trinity Strand Trail.  A ll participants will receive a t-shirt before the race.
