SPOTLIGHT: District Celebrates Three-Peat as Fulton, Masuda and Talbert Savor CA Distinguished School Honors
CA Distinguished School Celebration
On April 5th, we were proud to attend the California Distinguished School recognition, hosted by the California Department of Education at the Disneyland Hotel.  FVSD celebrated our three-peat as all three of our middle school campuses, Fulton, Masuda and Talbert Middle School, earned prestigious California Distinguished School honors.  Fulton Principal Kevin Johnson and AP Jennifer Kajdasz; Masuda Principal Jay Adams and AP Matt Ploski; and Talbert Principal Jennifer Morgan and AP Molly Kuykendall joined Superintendent Mark Johnson, and Mickey Mouse (of course) for a photo prior to the celebration which included a presentation by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond.  It was a wonderful evening in honor of our outstanding middle schools.  Thank you to our amazing teachers, support staff, administrators and parents for all that you did to help our middle schools earn this exemplary recognition!
HIGHLIGHT: Open House Welcomes Families and Celebrates Our Students' Outstanding Efforts and Achievements
Open House 2019
Earlier this month, families enjoyed an evening at our campuses for Open House.  On April 4th and April 11th, our classrooms shined as families were treated to student work on proud display.  Our teachers, students and staff worked tirelessly to ensure that rooms looked exceptional, student projects were highlighted and families had the opportunity to reflect on what a great year 2018-19 has been.  There is no better way to spend the evening than touring your child's classroom, meeting their dedicated teacher and seeing your student's pride as the walk you through their work.  Thank you to our teachers, administrators and support staff for opening your campuses to our families for another great Open House!
UPDATE: Presentation on Fred Moiola School at April 25th Board Meeting
