SPOTLIGHT: All Three FVSD Middle Schools Named CA Distinguished Schools
All Three Middle Schools Named CA Distinguished Schools
Congratulations to all three of our middle schools recently honored with the California Distinguished School  recognition.  Fulton, Masuda and Talbert are part of select number of campuses, only 25 in the County and 162 secondary schools statewide, to receive the designation this year. This is a remarkable achievement and it celebrates the work of our students, teachers, support staff, administrators, parents and community!
HIGHLIGHT: FV Rotary Celebrates Rock Star Students at Every Student Succeeding Breakfast
FV Rotary Every Student Succeeding Breakfast
On March 5th, Fountain Valley Rotary celebrated some very special rock star students at the Every Student Succeeding breakfast.  Honoring one student from each of our schools, the event's Grammy theme recognized ten outstanding students whose character, grit and perseverance in the face of often extraordinary challenges is truly off the charts!  Fountain Valley Rotary joined family, District staff and the community is celebrating Evan Noble (5th/Courreges), Aidan Franklin (5th/Cox), Hanna Lewis (8th/Fulton), Ava Perry (4th/Gisler), Alexandria Tran (8th/Masuda), Marin Greathouse (4th/Newland), Ryan Bustamante (K/Oka), Michael Baca (5th/Plavan), Alan Martinez (8th/Talbert) and Mackenzie James-Wong (1st/Tamura).  Each of these students was presented with a generous scholarship from Dave Osborn and the Kelly Osborn Foundation in honor of their achievements.  It was a wonderful morning spent highlighting some truly remarkable students and we are grateful to Fountain Valley Rotary and the Kelly Osborn Foundation for their continued support of our District.  For more photos from the morning, please visit our Facebook page.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU: LCAP Survey
LCAP Survey

In 2013, the State of California changed the way education is funded. School districts are required to develop a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) that includes input from students, teachers, parents, and community members on the goals, actions, and budget priorities. Please take a few moments to assist us with this important process. Your input matters!  You can access the survey through Monday, April 8th in English or in Vietnamese
We have put together a brief infographic in English and Vietnamese that includes an update on various metrics we use to measure performance.  It is a great way to learn more about the progress we continue to make toward our District's Goals.
TAG IT!:  #FVSDDriven #WeHeartFVSD
FVSD Driven
As noted above, our theme for 2018-19 is FVSD Driven!   We hope that you will join us in documenting how you are "FVSD Driven" by capturing the amazing moments in our schools and tagging your photos on social media  #FVSDDriven #WeHeartFVSD.
