Hello Melissa,
The Four Corners intersection improvements project continues work where Founders Parkway, Fifth Street, State Highway 86 and Ridge Road meet. The project is now transitioning into its first major traffic pattern change, which will result in various lane closures and shifts through the foreseeable future.
To provide crews with access to work on new underground drainage installations and earthwork to support roadway widening, a new traffic pattern will be implemented on Monday, Nov. 6. Motorists should allow for extra travel time in the area.
The new traffic pattern will:
- Restrict right-turn access from northbound Ridge Road to eastbound State Highway 86. Traffic will detour onto Enderud Boulevard.
- Close access to the Founders Marketplace entrance from eastbound State Highway 86. Access will be maintained via the two entrances off Ridge Road.
- Close the merge lane from eastbound Fifth Street to southbound Ridge Road. The continuous right-turn lane from eastbound Fifth Street to southbound Ridge Road will become a stop condition.
As we make progress on the Four Corners intersection improvements project, please watch for new traffic patterns, as there are likely to be further lane shifts and closures needed for this project. Signs along the roadside will provide the most up-to-date lane configurations.
Please keep in mind that there is ongoing 2023 Pavement Maintenance Program work on Enderud Boulevard. Currently, the eastbound lanes of Enderud Boulevard are closed between the Ridge Road roundabout and East Howe Street for roadway reconstruction. Two-way traffic is now on the westbound lanes of Enderud Boulevard. Once that work is complete, traffic will be switched onto the eastbound lanes to finish the project. Due to changing traffic patterns, please be cautious and give yourself extra time while driving through the work zone.
