Dear Owners and Residents,
In light of the current and rapid changes of COVID-19, we are not able to provide any specific timelines to our members regarding when we will hold a community-wide meeting; however, we are hopeful we will be scheduling a meeting in the near future to provide details for the project, costs, and an opportunity for questions.
The Board of Directors has been diligently reviewing the most cost effective approach and options for repairing the retaining wall between 2426 and 2428 University, including drainage. A geological engineering firm has been hired to draft plans for the repairs and drainage of this area. Plans have been submitted to the City of Newport Beach and are currently being reviewed and modified. In conjunction with the plan review, we are finalizing a request for proposal (RFP) to gather bids from vendors for this project.
Please be reminded there has been shoring placed in front of the retaining wall facing 2426 University to support the wall and planter area until the repairs can be completed. The shoring impedes the walkways in front of 2426 University, however, is necessary. For your own safety and the safety of the contractors, guest and others, please utilize other walkways and stay clear of this area until this project has been completed.
