Back in AZ!

Summerwind is back at Outwest Stallion station for the winter with Caboclo, Brasilia, Hawke, Artemis and Koyote. Right now we also have MMs across the valley in other locations. Come visit! If you have time, we can take you on a barn crawl to meet a lot of Mangalarga Marchador horses (more than 26!) here. Aged from a few months to 25 years!

In November, we start the 2025 Quote Calendar. Please share photos with us for inclusion now of your Summerwind horses! Or horse / motivation quotes that you love.

We also plan to offer MM brand and Summerwind logo'd merchandise - bling shirts, regular shirts, dressage saddle pads and perhaps more. We will send another email around Black Friday with details.

Horse Illustrated Best of Breeds Special Issue!

The Mangalarga Marchador is again in this issue and Summerwind created an ad that will be in that issue as well. Due out in late October / early November.

As soon as our news is done, I will be publishing the USMMA newsletter. The special feature will be the ABCCMM Caminhos do Marchador event in New Jersey that took place in September. I will share to our mailing list when it is published.

We have seen great offspring from this sire, breeding in Uruguay to offspring from Atrevido do Porto Palmeira.

Ingles is a mix of bloodlines, many new to North America which is exciting for us. JB is still prominent, but adds new bloodine/breeders - Golden Horse, Kafe, Porto Azul, Herdade and more. His sire Desfile do Porto Palmeira is winning in the show ring - over 100 times. At the National level, recently he was Reserve Champion Adulto Graduado in 2023 and Reserve Champion Senior at the Exposicao Brasileira do Criador in March 2024.

Ingles’ dam Polika do Porto Palmeira was named national champion or reserve national champion reproducer in Brazil several years.

More Choices in Stallions

Summerwind has 13 breeding choices in shipped semen for 2025. Jedi-Knight offers cooled semen, also from Silver Stables in Phoenix AZ. Jedi is Talisma Kafe x Isabelle do Great Lakes.

Padawan do Summerwind - bay tobiano - will stand at Silver Stables starting 2025. Padawan is Atrevido do Porto Palmeira x Brasilia do Summerwind.

All others are frozen semen only -imported or born in the US.

Arun de Maripa is sold out, but Nandor do Summerwind, a bay roan son of Arun, is available.

MM Clinic or Competition

Early 2025, we are in Phoenix, Arizona and Corpus Christi, Texas with Dr. George Vilar. This inspection visit will be for Kadencia's foal Steele and also for the riding inspection for Padawan do Summerwind, AZ; Paloma do Summerwind; Qupid do Summerwind, AZ, Olivia do Summerwind, TX and Paris do Summerwind, TX. Qyra do Summerwind is tentative, but will probably not be ready for this visit.

The long ride (cavalgada) is a themed ride. Which means a ride made special by the theme - the date, the place, full moon or some cause. More details about the ride in the next newsletter.
