FOUR PILLARS CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE

DECEMBER 2024

Sigma Chi - AU Chapter

Building Strong, Successful Men

for Over 100 Years!

FRIENDSHIP ✠ JUSTICE ✠ LEARNING ✠ LEADERSHIP

Brothers,

The holidays are in full swing, and the Four Pillars Capital Campaign is spreading cheer by helping to make our dreams come true for future Trojan Sigs!

With a mission to raise $14 million for a brand-new AU Chapter house and a $500,000 endowed scholarship fund, we’re building a brighter future for Sigma Chi undergraduates. The new house will offer state-of-the-art facilities—including a gym, study hall, and library -- plus expanded living spaces that promise year-round comfort and joy for AU actives.

This ambitious goal is made possible by the generous support of brothers like Billy Walk, ’02, and Jim Connelly, ’77. This holiday season, you can join Billy, Jim, and the many other brothers in the spirit of giving. Your tax deductible end-of-year gift not only leaves a lasting legacy but ensures Sigma Chi remains the most prestigious and sought-after fraternity at USC.

Together, we’re giving future AU Sigma Chi’s the opportunity to thrive within the lifelong brotherhood that shaped us into the men we are today.

So, embrace the joy of giving and help build the future of Sigma Chi at USC!

In Hoc,

Kerry McCluggage, AU '76

President, Trojan Sig Foundation

MEET OUR DONORS

Billy Walk, AU '02

"Being part of Sigma Chi has been very rewarding and has allowed me to stay involved with USC on a much deeper level. After graduating in 2002, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed previous roles on the Trojan Sig Foundation and currently the Trojan Sig House Corporation where I’ve gotten to not only work with countless classes of college-aged Sigs, but also bros from previous generations whom I never would have met if I hadn’t remained engaged.

The Capital Campaign is an opportunity to reconnect with arguably one of the most important decisions we’ve chosen in our lives – to be Sigs." ` Billy Walk, '02

Jim Connelly, AU '77

"When I walked into the Sigma Chi house for Spring Rush ’73, little did I know what a life changing experience was before me. Knowing exactly one person on campus after transferring from community college was a little intimidating. On the second day of classes, Liz, a friend from my church and a Kappa, introduced me to Jack Kallota who immediately invited me to a rush party.

Now, fast forward 50 years, and it is a two-generation legacy, with sons Will and John both joining the ranks of Alpha Upsilon brotherhood. I can’t begin to name the many Sigs who have influenced me or impacted my life personally and professionally and am proud that 50 years in, many of my closest and dearest friends are the ones from 907 W. 28th.

I encourage all to stay connected to one another and to rebuilding our legacy on 28th. You will always find it here." Jim Connelly, '77

YOU, TOO, CAN BECOME A PART OF HISTORY

With the year coming to a close, now is the time to step up and add your name to the impressive list of Brothers like Billy Walk and Jim Connelly with your tax-deductible, year-end gift. Donate today, and be forever-remembered as one of the men who contributed to building a legacy for Alpha Upsilon!
