On a sunny day in July, HIF and Corporate Champion Essex Property Trust took on a renovation at The Salvation Army in San Jose. The Salvation Army offers a lifeline to adults
who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves, and who want to get back on their feet. The center in San Jose has been offering free treatment programs for over 30 years - but unfortunately, the building's age showed.
Volunteers transformed the large upstairs hallway at The Salvation Army with fresh paint. The space went from dark and dreary to bright and airy with new
grey and white paint on the walls, doors, and trim. Out back, the yard got some much needed landscaping, with new pebbles and mulch and bright red umbrellas for shade. Thanks to our generous vendors
Arborwell, Bay Pro Landscape Services, Essex, G.A. Higgins Construction, Pierce Signs & Displays, and Sherwin-Williams Company for helping to provide
an uplifting environment for the 85 men residing at The Salvation Army!
