We would love to have you join us
on Wednesday at 6pm in the school gym for Soup Supper and Table Talk as we get ready for Easter.
As we read the Gospels, we learn about the night that Jesus was born as the angels sang and the shepherds bowed their knee in worship. We are invited to listen to the great sermons of Jesus where we hear about the kingdom of God and life within that kingdom. We are amazed by the miracles that Jesus did and the love and compassion that Jesus showed to so many. But the story of Jesus, and really the story of the whole Bible, comes to its great crescendo on a Friday as Jesus dies on a cross and on the following Sunday morning when the tomb is empty with Jesus risen from the dead. The story of Jesus is the center point of both the Bible and history.
As we read this story, there are questions that begin to rise to the forefront of our minds: what is this story really all about? Why did Jesus come? Why did the cross mean so much? What does this story teach us about God? Should this story really change anything for us?

Parent Teacher Organization

The OSLS PTO is putting out a call for candidates interested in serving on the PTO Executive Committee for the 2019-2020 school year.
  • Would you like to be a leader for the Parent Teacher Organization and work to drive the planning behind both PTO fellowship events and important PTO fundraising?
  • The executive team is made up of a Chair/Co-chair/Treasurer and Secretary; these four team members set the dates for the bi-monthly general PTO meetings and they take the lead on mapping out what PTO sponsored events will happen for the school year and then work with many other OSLS parent volunteers to make things happen....they steer the ship so to speak.  Does this sound like something you want to do, if so then please email your interest to and we'll be happy to answer any questions you have about the roles and time commitments.
  • Position terms are 1 happen each May, but terms can be held for two consecutive years if desired and if an executive team member is re-voted in for a second term.
  • The position of PTO Secretary is wide open without any interested candidates at this time, the incumbent Chair and Treasurer are willing to stay on if voted in, and there may be a vacancy in Co-chair role. We need candidate interest by May 20 and the elections will be held at the general PTO meeting at 7pm on May 30.
  • Thank you for considering helping in this way.

Please mark your calendar for upcoming PTO events:

  • May 10 - CANDYLAND a Father/Daughter & Mother/Son Dance - save the date!
