Fall Harvest Begins
Troy Furrer from Wolcott, IN fills his Valmar 1655 mounted to his 8 row Drago GT corn head. Troy and his son Josh have been seeding covers this way for 3 years now with great success. We also installed a Yetter Devastator under the corn head to help incorporate the seed. Cover Crop Seeding with a combine is a very nice way of doing so.
Check out this video with Yetter Territory Manager Jeff Wherley talking about the Devastators.

Cool fall weather made it back just in time for the weekend. Although most us welcomed some off the heat to maybe speed up drying the corn and beans as farmers patiently wait knowing it could turn wet at anytime. This week was busy, we did 5 total devastator installs this week with many more planned for next week. harvest in rolling in central and southern Ohio and Indiana. With fall harvest and tillage on the horizon, give us a call for Salford Tillage, Yetter Devastator, and 360 Yield Center Needs!

Have a Great Weekend

Cassie's Country Cupboard Weekly Recipe:
Apple Butter Muffin
Our family grows a lot of apples, so we’re always on the lookout for ways to use them. I especially like to make apple butter each fall, and this is a great recipe to use some of it!

Apple Butter Muffins

Ingredients:

1 ¾ c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
¾ c. milk
¼ c. canola oil
1/3 c. apple butter
1/3 c. pecans, chopped
2 T. sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, 1/3 c. sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl combine egg, milk and oil. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until combined.
  4. Spoon a tablespoon of batter into muffin cup. Spoon a teaspoon of apple butter on batter. Top with remaining batter.
  5. Combine pecans and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Sprinkle on top of batter.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until done.

What Are We Up To? Assemblies & Installs
Kevin traveled up to Michigan this week to deliver an Enduraplas sprayer and a Yetter Devastator to customers.
Mitch was busy this week winterizing sprayers and side dress applicators. Now is a great time to do your winter maintenance!
This Valmar cover crop seeder is headed to a dealer in Wisconsin. We hire the trucking done on most longer trips such as that.
This install was finished this week, a Valmar seeder on a J&M rolling basket to seed wheat.
